Making Mountain Memories
Young Harris, GA
AUGUST 26-28, 2016
Ever dream of leaving the noise and congestion behind for a quieter life where the pace is a bit slower and the people take time to stop and chat? A visit to the beautiful Georgia Mountain Top area is just the ticket! The gorgeous mountains and fabulous lakes of Towns County are just what you're dreaming of!
Towns County was originally settled by Cherokee Indians, with the first white settlers arriving after the Indian cessions of 1818. Our venue is located between the unique and lovely towns of Young Harris and Hiawassee (Cherokee for “meadow” or “savanna”).
Come join us as we celebrate this beautiful area of Georgia. Whether your interest lies in appreciating Appalachian arts and crafts, local music and performing arts, visiting interesting museums, touring Georgia wineries or shopping in the idyllic towns located nearby, there is a lot for you to see and do during your free time. And, of course, we always keep you busy during Jubilee at our fantastic venues!
See our page on "Dressing for the Jubilee" for guidelines on appropriate dress for the various JUbilee functions, and also costuming suggestions (should you opt to costume)
